The Mouse Ate Our Chocolate

Over the past several days we've had a mouse in the kitchen leaving little turds around the stove and the counter. So we have been doing a lot of cleanup and making sure there is nothing available for the little critter to eat. I have some traps but we figured we try the clean up first and spraying cleaning fluid on the counter. It's been probably at least 20 years since we had any mice problems in the house.

The other night after dinner we decided to have some of the Terry's chocolate from a box in the cabinet. When Becky pulled it out we saw that a mouse had ate through the foil wrapper and chewed up some of it. You could see the tooth marks on the chocolate. We were shocked and amused too. The mouse ate our chocolate.

We threw it out and went back to making sure there everything was cleaned up and there was no more mouse droppings. The next morning we found a few droppings but not food was available for the mice. Today there was no sign of a visiting mouse. We'll see how it goes.
