Code Blue - MAGA Dystopia Book

Code Blue: Inside America's Medical Industrial Complex by Mike McGee, 2019. I read this scary thought provoking book during the summer of 2020 when we were all locked down from covid and trump was ineffectively botching the response to the pandemic.

I posted the book today on Bluesky and FB as part of my series Book Challenge - MAGA Dystopia. It was also interesting looking back on this now that trump has installed a former heroin addict and vaccine denier with no medical or government experience as head of the US Department of Health and Human Services. That would be RFKjr, the guy with the worm in his brain. 

Code Blue is a phrase used to alert medical professionals in a hospital of an urgent medical emergency requiring immediate attention. We have that now throughout our government and the entire nation. Drugs are 10 times more expensive in America than throughout the world and ranks 50th in heath care among major developed countries. This damning book goes into critical detail concerning Big Pharma, the insurance companies, AMA, hospitals and all things medical related who collude to maximize profits. Everything we need to know about the Medical Industrial Complex from an author expert in this field.

Now we can only frighteningly imagine what the muskrat, the worm brain and orange turd are doing to our healthcare system.

The author argues persuasively and urgently for the necessity of a single-payer, multi-plan insurance arena of the kind enjoyed by every other major developed nation. We need serious health care reform now more than ever.
