Gladiator II

Watched Gladiator II over the past few days and enjoyed it very much. It was a lot better than I expected but it was very long... 2 hours and 48 minutes. I watched it in four sittings. It would have made a nice short series.

It was a Ridley Scot movie like the first one and was set about 20 years later than the other. There were even some of the same actors in both films. The first movie was released in 2000 and the new one came out in November 2024. I watched it on Paramount +.

The special effects were a little over the top at times but the acting was all very good. The story held my attention throughout the film although there were plenty of good places to stop and take a break. It's nice to have streaming movies.
