Democracy Book Challenge. Day 21 of the MAGA Dystopia. Broken Code: Inside Facebook and the Fight to Expose Its Harmful Secrets by Jeff Horwitz, 2023. I read this shocking account of misinformation and political manipulation last January. This book is a behind-the-scenes expose of the inner workings and authoritarian tactics of Facebook and the resulting scandals triggered by their uncontrolled social media platform written by an award winning technology reporter for the Wall Street Journal. Of course this was before the recent Zuckerberg sucking up to the orange turd and his nazi muskrat. Broken code indeed. I'm still here on FB until at least when I post all of the MAGA Dystopia books but I spend much more time on Bluesky now.
