Dinner @ The Terrace

Becky and I had another wonderful dinner at The Terrace tonight and we had a table in the dining room next to the fireplace. There was currently a Mardi Gras theme at the restaurant and the music was wonderful. In keeping with the theme Becky had a shrimp po' boy sandwich with fries and I had a fish fry, fries and a crab salad. I started off with a glass of malbec and then had a Maine Brewery Lunch IPA which has been one of my favorites. However, this was the first time I had it on tap. Everything was delicious.

We had decided a couple of weeks ago to attend the Thursday night opening reception and artist talk at the Albright Knox. We later also decided to go out for dinner first and The Terrace across the street from the museum would be a good place to eat. We have loved going there for dinner over the past several years. We usually sit in the outside patio even in the winter because it is enclosed and heated but this time we had decided to sit in the dining room which is also very nice.

I went online and made reservations. The restaurant was booked up solid later in the evening and it looked like most people were going to dinner after spending some time at the Albright. The members only reception was 5 to 7 and then the artist talk at 7 to 8. The Terrace was booked from 7pm on. I made reservations for 5:15 pm because we thought we would have dinner and then walk across a little after 6 for the reception and then go to the artist talk.

The restaurant was virtually empty when we got there at 5 which was a little early. We were expecting it to be parked up in the area and it was beyond belief. We had to park two long blocks away and it was crazy trying to find a spot.

I imagine it was very crowded at the restaurant when we left the museum around 8:15 pm. Looking forward to going again in the spring and sitting on the patio.
