A two and half hour listening session with The Blasters who have been one of my favorite groups over the years. This is a nice multi-disc compilation that includes their albums The Blasters, 1981, Over There Live, 1982, Non Fiction, 1983 and Hard Line, 1985 along with many outtakes and several more cuts from various other sources.
I have ten of their albums including the compilations and live albums. I also saw them live several times over the years including some of the individual solo tours. Listening to this set today was a lot of fun and brought back a lot of memories.
The last time we saw them was a few years ago at the Sportsmen Club. It was both Dave and Phil Alvin and essentially The Blasters.
