Last week we noticed that our porch cactus was growing a bloom. It took a few days and we watched it intently until last night it did a full bloom. It was a cool rainy evening and there was a full moon. I took some photos of the bloom. This morning I went out and saw that it was still blooming. Many times it bloomed overnight and by the morning the flower had started drooping. Not this time.
I've taken a few pictures and will take another one later tonight. Then I'll take a couple more as the flower drops down to the side of the flower pot.Right now it's getting dark and the flower is still looking very much like it loves being in bloom and although now it is showing signs of the usual one day bloom. It is starting to tighten up the bloom but not drooping yet. It may be really done by morning.
