Blue Break Beats: 50 of the Best, 2007. This is a wonderful collection of tracks from various Blue Note albums from over the years. They released numerous volumes of their Blue Break Beat collections on LPs and then CDs. This is a best of collection from those releases and collects 50 great classic jazz tracks from the label. The set runs for nearly five hours and I enjoyed every moment over the past couple of days playing in our kitchen.A lot of my favorite jazz songs are part of this collection from artist such as Wayne Shorter, Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Donald Byrd, Herbie Hancock, Lee Morgan, Kenny Burrell, Cannonball Adderley and many many more.
