World Series - Phillies vs Astros

The Phillies beat the San Diego Padres on Sunday 4-1 and have earned a place a place in the 2022 World Series. They beat the Cardinals, the Braves and now the Padres to get through the NL playoffs and to the World Series.

Yesterday the Houston Astros beat the New York Yankees 6-5 in a sweep of their four game series to also get to the World Series. They had previously swept the Mariners in the playoffs and going into the Series have not lost a game in the post season.

The series will start this coming Friday and should be interesting. All of he sports magazines and online sites have the Astros as the dominant team and there is even talk of sweeping the Phillies and remaining unbeaten in the post season. 

Well I'm excited about the Phillies getting to the World Series after some exciting playoff baseball. It has been eleven years since they've been in the post season and it was 2009 and 2008 when they were last playing in the Series.
