The Lake Effect Rain

We are hopefully nearly done with our week of constant lake effect rain. We got a lot of heavy rain at times but the ground just soaked it all up. Our local drought had definitely ended this week and the weather forecast calls for clearing skies tomorrow and gradually warming temperatures. Sunday is supposed to be 70 degrees and sunny.

We didn't get enough rain all summer and although the gardens were fine with enough constant watering the ground was always dry. This past week changed all that and our grass is the greenest it's been in awhile. Most of the leaves in our backyard have come down and we had very few black walnuts this year. Now I'm looking forward to getting some yard work done this weekend and completing the sealing up of the backyard sunroom.
