Those Russians Again

As a kid I grew up being afraid of the Russians. The Cold War was raging and people everywhere were worried about the end of the war in a nuclear holocaust. We were constantly going through "Duck & Cover" drills in school which I previously wrote about.  Nikita Krushchev, the premier of the Soviet Union, was the boogie man who ranted about burying Americans. It was also the time of the Cuban Missile Crises. Nuclear war seem inevitable and everyone talked about MAD... Mutual Assured Destruction.

Now it seems we have Putin ranting and raving about the American enemy and the real threat of a war with Russia for the first time since the 80's and 60's. The Russians always seem to be The Russians. They keep acting the same way and they always seem to want to be ruled by dictators. Strong men who make oligarchs a lot of money and keep trying to expand their borders into southern Europe in their attempts to get warm water ports. This has been going on for centuries and nothing changes. Well, except now the American conservative parties support the Russians and America has their own oligarchs with the same goals as the ones in Russia to make more money and control their governments or in the case of trump he just wants to put his name on a hotel in Moscow.
