John Le Carre

I was sad to hear of the recent passing of the wonderful novelist John Le Carre yesterday on December 12th. I really enjoyed reading his spy novels. He certainly had a way with thrillers, mysteries and espionage. I've also seen the film versions of several of his books which are always well done.

I read his most recent book Agent Running in the Field, 2019 in January 2020. The novel is the usual well crafted storytelling and interesting writing style we've all come to expect from him over the years. He doesn't disappoint.

Other novels of his that I've read over the years...

  • Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, 1974 - May 1974
  • Smiley's People, 1979 - Sep, 1981
  • The Spy Who Came in From the Cold, 1963 - Feb, 1983
  • The Little Drummer Girl, 1983 - Oct, 1984
  • The Night Manager, 1993 - Dec, 1993
