It also turns out it is obvious that Trump and the administration were violating their own CDC guidelines concerning the virus. I watched a little of Fox and Friends this morning and they were freaking out.
Throughout the day the news keeps getting worse as more people who were with the president over the past few days have also tested positive including the Melanie Trump. Everyone on capitol hill is getting tested and of course the testing being suspect means that they must be tested several times during the next couple of days to verify the results. Trump himself tested negative yesterday morning but then positive yesterday evening. Pence is testing negative right now but that could change.
All of the Trump campaign activities and rallies have been cancelled. They are saying he may do some virtual campaign events but that remains to be seen. He must stay in isolation for two weeks. It should also be noted that he may have been carrying the infection for several days before he tested positive yesterday.
It was just announced that some people who were at his supreme court event several days ago have now tested positive for the virus. Last night Trump was also at an indoor campaign event without a mask and with no social distancing. That could certainly be a major spreader event.
Later in the day they med-evaced him by chopper to Walter Reed Medical Center where he is receiving experimental treatment.
More people that have been around the president the past week are turning up with positive tests of the virus.
This story will be going on for a while.
