Tom and I played together with this all the time along with our Lincoln logs and erector set. Over the next few years we would get similar themed play sets such as Fort Apache and The Blue and The Gray, a civil war play set.
I remember in first grade after we got back from the Christmas break the nun asked everyone to bring something in they got for Christmas to show the class. I brought in one of the rockets and a figure.
I'm sure Henry would enjoy playing with something like this.
