On The Waterfront with Karen

We went down to the Buffalo waterfront with Karen today. It was a beautiful day but a little chilly and windy. We went down to Wilkinson Pointe and walked around. Last year that park was closed for a lot of construction but today it was open and we got to see all of the improvements including a new restaurant.

Karen was impressed with this conversion of an industrial site into a wonderful community park on the waterfront that includes a nice beach with downtown in the background.

Then we went down to the Outer Harbor where there now is a Buffalo Harbor State Park. Unfortunately that was mostly closed this summer because of more construction going on there. We're looking forward to going there next season. There again this is another industrial area that has been transformed.

From there we went up to Canalside and had some dinner at the Liberty Hound which was nice but a little windy on the patio. We loved it anyway.
