I've always loved the vibraphone sounds of Gary Burton and that he played with so many different jazz artists too. I saw him perform in a small Philly club with Chick Corea in the mid-70's. Choosing him for a Kitchen Listening session was easy and I can't believe I hadn't done it before now. It ended up being a multiple set listening experience. I hadn't listened to his albums like this in a quite some time.
This first session consisted of his albums in my collection from the 70's.
- Crystal Silence with Chick Corea, 1972
- Gary Burton & Kieth Jarrett, 1971
- Matchbox with Ralph Towner, 1974
- Dreams So Real, 1975
