Lee and Our Cabana

This afternoon I was surprised when a neighbor from down the street, Lee, came walking into our backyard area. He was surprised to see me too and apparently he thought we were out of town. He was at the WOW last night and was talking to some folks about his need to build an enclosure for his backyard patio. They remembered our backyard cabana from our previous WOWs and someone told him we were out of town but he should take a walk back there and see how our shed enclosure was constructed.

Anyway, I showed him around and he was impressed with how I made the place into a year round man-cave. He also got a kick out of the story of the windows coming from the discarded trash of St. Marks School.

He liked our chairs and tables, having a stereo, books to read, nice lights, computer setup, and a place for garden stuff. He didn't like that it wasn't directly connected to our house and I had to go outside to access the space. I said I didn't mind and was used to it. I had some serious privacy that way too. I was in my own little world. I also told him about both of us coming out to read and to enjoy the backyard where we could watch the birds, bunnies and butterflies.
