First Chili of the Season

Becky made her first pot of chili of the season today. This was a little later in the season this year as she will usually make some earlier in the fall. The weather this year has taken longer to get cold and stay cold. We had a relatively mild fall and winter so far. I've only had to shovel snow once this season and that was only may two inches if that and it melted very soon after. 

It did snow a little today and the temperature throughout the day was in the low 30's but that's not too bad for January. There is a prediction of maybe up to two inches tonight I will probably be shoveling some snow tomorrow. So the chili tasted real good for dinner this evening and we have some more for leftovers later. She also made some delicious cornbread too. 

I'm really looking forward to more chili from Becky this season,
