The first in the Blues Night series. This mix covers all aspects of the blues from modern versions of the 2000's, sixties blues rock, and classic blues from the 1950's and 1960's. It's all mixed up nicely to flow through the different eras and styles.
I first heard some of the old guy blues when the Electric Factory in Philly often opened a rock show with an old classic blues player. Then in the late 1960's I started listening to white guy blues like Johnny Winter. Later in the mid 1970's we regularly listened to the WXPN blues show on Saturday nights.
I put this blues mix together a few years ago as a blues mega mix that ran for about 15 hours and had well over 200 songs. Well, this is back to my hour and a half mixes and is part of my Final Version series.
The blues music here is all over the place from various eras and styles. I love how it comes together and sounds like a blues party all night long indeed.
