Autumn Catherine Emery

Our newest granddaughter Autumn Catherine Emery was born today. She and Ashley are doing well. Around 5:30 this morning I got a text from Ashley that her water had broken and they were heading to the hospital. The baby was born around 9:30 am. She is a healthy 6lbs 12ozs. Sean is a happy daddy with his new daughter.

I got a flashback to the morning when Violet was born nearly two years ago when we got a morning call that the baby was early. That time we had to get into the car and drive down to Philly on a cold December morning to take care of Henry and Clara who had been dropped off at a neighbors house. Fortunately for Sean and Ashley they have her dad living with them so he could take care of Andrew when they rushed off to the hospital for the birth of his sister.

We will drive over to their home sometime over the next couple of weeks to see Autumn. Probably the 7th or 8th of December and stay the weekend.

Katie, Todd, Henry, Clara and Violet should be here with us in about an hour and a half. They will be staying at our house for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
