Watching the senate confirmation hearings this week on the Supreme Court nomination of Kentaji Brown Jackson has been a sickly cringe inducing spectacle of conservative racists and sexist dog whistles. It sometimes feels like 1962 rather than 2022. The republican senators were disgusting.The first black woman nominated to the Supreme Court was constantly attacked on misleading and ignorant rants by conservatives frightened by their own culture wars with America. She is their worst nightmare... a smart black woman with a sense of justice.
