Over the years going back and forth between Buffalo and Philadelphia stopping in Lenox, PA for a meal at Bingham's Restaurant was a special treat. We did it several times back when our kids were young. Sometimes we would stop there on the way back to Buffalo for a late breakfast of wonderful pancakes. Other times we would go there for a late lunch and then buy a pie to take down to Betsy's house.
Becky and I stopped there a few times on our own over the years. Then Katie and Todd stopped there once in a while too but later when they had their dog they were no longer able to spend time in restaurants while making that trip. That is until Stella passed away in recent months.
On their trip this Friday to Buffalo from Philly for Christmas this year they stopped at Bingham's for lunch. The kids wanted pancakes but unfortunately they stopped making them at 11:30 am. They arrived at the restaurant at noon. They did have a nice lunch there and then bought some pastries to bring back with them to our house. Since I had a birthday recently they got a chocolate peanut butter pie which we had for Christmas Eve dinner dessert. They also brought back a nice very large homemade cinnamon raison bread that was delicious. The loaf of bread and the pie lasted a few days.
