We only had two days to visit with our grandson Andrew because of the timing with the holiday and the weather. We were there to meet our new grandchild Autumn and to spend some time with Andrew. I wrote about our meeting Autumn here. During our short weekend visit we did have a wonderful time with Andrew. It's amazing how quickly he is growing up and talking now. He is such a fun little boy.
It was also so much fun watching him play with his toys and how he showed us everything. He loves to eat and he enjoys his meals and wants us to be there with him. He seemed so very happy to have a little sister and really wanted us to love her as much as he does. He was very excited about Christmas and wanted to show us the Christmas tree and the pile of presents. We had brought some gifts for the baby and Andrew loved opening them for his sister.
We had a great time visiting and were sorry we could not stay longer. If the weather forecast had been better and the holidays not looming we certainly would have stayed another day or so but we had to get on the road early Sunday morning to avoid the coming bad weather on the road. Andrew had a rough night and didn't sleep well so come the morning he wasn't able to come down and say goodbye to us. Fortunately we had said goodnight and goodbye the night before although we had hoped to see him again in the morning. Sean came down to see us off.
