Pandemonium and Cuddles

We sometimes lovingly refer to our little one year old grandson Andrew as "Bam-Bam", the little blonde tyke from the Flintstones.  Especially when he is in our kitchen banging the pots and pans on the floor. He just loves making noise and grabbing those heavy pans and pounding them to the floor. We sometimes fear for his little feat.

He loved exploring our home. This was the first time he was here and fully walking around. Of course he soon realized he could walk in circles through the house and he discovered the brightly colored pottery and glassware that Becky had stored in some cabinets that he figured out how to open. The other kids never tried to open those cabinets but every child is different. We will need to have some kid locks on those cabinets for his next visit.

He wasn't always Bam-Bam. He would often stop his running around to give a hug and cuddles. He had his very special quiet loving moments too. He loves coming over to me and laying his head against me. It feels so wonderful.

Dave and Donna came stopped by to see him and his parents and they had a wonderful time getting to know Andrew a little. They had just been to NYC to see their grandson Sonny. Donna was particularly impressed by how much Andrew was "a boy" and a burly one too.

We had a very nice visit with Ashley, Sean and Andrew. We had just been to their place a few weeks ago for Andrew's first birthday and he has already changed so much. He was just taking some steps that weekend and now he is running around. He also started pointing at people and things. Very cute.

We are so fortunate to have four grandchildren and to have them relatively close by.

We are looking forward to a visit next week with Katie, Todd, Henry, Clara and Violet.
