FIFA Club World Cup

Yesterday I watched some of the new revamped FIFA club soccer competition. Supposedly 2025 is the first of this new expanded 32 team competition for soccer clubs from around the world. They first started having a world club tournament in 2000 but this year is the first in the new configuration that reflects more of what happens in the national world cup tournaments.

I watched some of the Chelsea vs Los Angeles FC game. Chelsea won 2-0. There are several games on today featuring clubs from around the world in the first group stages. The final game of the tournament is scheduled for July 13.

The World Cup is happening next summer and I've been watching some of the soccer matches with the USA team getting ready for the competition. 

Watching soccer games has been a relaxing television pastime for me over the past few years. I'm looking forward to more of the FIFA Club World Cup, The FIFA CONCACAF North, Central American and Caribbean qualifiers for next year's World Cup. Lots of friendlies too.
