From The Beginning is another mix of songs from albums in my collection released in 1972 and part of my Final Version series. I still find in stunning as I've been putting these mixes together that these albums were all released some 50 years ago this year.
I was never a big fan of serious progressive rock like Emerson, Lake & Palmer who start off this mix but I did like this opening song very much. I think I've only used two of their songs from their entire career on any mix. The other was Lucky Man from their first album in 1970. So this mix starts with a classic progressive rock song and continues along with a few more throughout the mix. I really did love that Strawbs album that year. The mix does cover some more areas of rock from a variety of artists and includes some hit songs along with a few deep cuts.
