Edinburgh Day Four - Royal Botanical Gardens

We started day 12 as usual with breakfast at the hotel. There has always been a nice selection of foods and today I had waffles and Nutella. After we ate we decided to take an Uber to the Royal Botanical Gardens instead of the bus and why not. We had originally planned to walk but it turns out taking the Uber was a very good idea because it was farther than we thought.

The gardens were terrific, very organized and much easier to get around than Kew Gardens. There were wonderful rock gardens and some amazing green houses. The gardens is a center for the study of plants, their diversity and conservation. There are research buildings and a botanical school. It is also now a major tourist attraction and for good reason.

We enjoyed all of the time we spent there in the gardens. I especially liked the hedges.
