Edinburgh Day Four - National Museum of Scotland, etc.

We took the Uber again and rode back to the center of the city to the National Museum of Scotland. This museum is actually a recent merger of Royal Scottish Museum and the Museum of Scotland which occurred in 2006.

This museum had extremely well designed spectacular displays of natural history, technology, design and historical artifacts. There was just an amazing number of interesting exhibits throughout the museum.

We saw a lot but we were running out of steam after our earlier time at the Botanical Gardens. We stopped for a simple but very nice lunch in the museum and then walked over to the University of Edinburgh campus where we explored that interesting neighborhood. Then we walked up George IV Bridge street and stopped at the National Library of Scotland to see some of the book exhibits. It was a nice walk back to the hotel where we laid down for a well deserved rest.
