With Joe & Debbie @ Coles

Last night Becky and I went out to dinner with Joe and Debbie at Coles. We had a really nice time although there was some sadness in our conversations with the passing of Joe's brother Dave which is why they were in town in January. We started talking about Dave right away because Joe had brought in a stack of small artworks for Becky. They were works of Becky, her father and her mother that Dave had in his house. Joe was clearing out the house and gave the artworks back to Becky.

We had some great food as usual. Both Debbie and I had their Guinness Beef Stew. Becky had a chicken cutlet sandwich and Joe... he had a beef on weck I think. I had ordered their Guinness Drunken Pumpkin which is a black and tan mix of Guinness Stout and a Southern Tier Pumpkin Imperial Ale. Joe was interested and I suggested he try one. He did and he loved it.

We had a nice time. We said our goodbyes and we would see them on Saturday at the memorial service for Dave.

Here is a photo of the artwork that Joe brought back from David's house.
