Those Tariffs - IFLA

When I got us this morning and turned on the TV the news programs were all talking about the trump tariffs and the potential Supreme Court ruling that may come out today. There was also lots of talk about Greenland and the threats of invasion by the orange turd.

Then I went on FB and the first thing I saw was the I Fucking Love Australia's comments about those pesky tariffs.

Here he goes...

"Alright, buckle up, because this is shaping up to be the greatest self-own in presidential history, and the whole world is watching Trump kick himself square in the tiny pine nuts in real time.

This bloke thought tariffs were some genius alpha move. Like he was going to stroll up, slap a tax on China, puff his chest out, and suddenly Beijing would come crawling back begging for mercy. That was the plan. That was the big brain strategy.
Instead, China just calmly stepped sideways and made more money elsewhere.
That’s the part that should haunt him. (If he had a soul)

Trump hits China with tariffs and China goes, “Cool story bro,” then reroutes trade, deepens ties with Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, expands manufacturing chains, locks in long-term contracts, and walks out of the room with a record trade surplus. Meanwhile America is standing there holding its dick in its limp hand the like, “Wait… why are my groceries more expensive?”

Because tariffs don’t punish China, you absolute weapon of mass moron particles. They punish Americans.

U.S. consumers pay more.
U.S. manufacturers pay more.
U.S. farmers get squeezed.

And China? China adapts. Because unlike Trump, they plan further ahead than the next press conference.

Here’s the brutal truth Trump cannot process. China figured him out back in 2016. They looked at him and said, “This guys not strategic, he’s the guy who thinks bleach cures Covid with a wrecking ball attached.” So they did what adults do. They planned around him.

They diversified markets.
They invested in supply chains.
They reduced reliance on the U.S.
They played the long game.
Trump? He played checkers with a megaphone.

Now fast forward and what do we see? China posting a massive trade surplus while Trump is out there claiming victory as the American economy starts wobbling. Manufacturing down. Consumers squeezed. Inflation numbers massaged. Employment figures looking a lot shakier once you scrape off the corrupt number fudging gloss.

And the most embarrassing part? He’s still bragging.
He’s out there talking like this is some masterstroke while China is literally profiting off the chaos he created. That’s not strength. That’s being outplayed by someone who understands systems while you understand slogans.

This isn’t “America First”.
This is “America Pays”.

And MAGA, this is where you should be furious. You were sold the idea that tariffs were a weapon. Turns out they were a boomerang. You throw it with confidence and it comes screaming back, smacking you in the face while the other guy calmly steps aside while laughing in mandarin.

China didn’t panic.
China didn’t fold.
China adjusted and moved on.

Trump tanked his own economy, strained alliances, pissed off trading partners, and handed China exactly what it wanted, time and space to decouple and dominate other markets.

This will be studied one day as a case study in how not to run economic policy. A masterclass in loud confidence and zero competence.
The world isn’t laughing quietly anymore. It’s watching in disbelief as a man convinced of his own genius accidentally engineers one of the biggest self-inflicted economic wounds ever.

And the worst part?

He still thinks he’s winning while the MAGA muppets keep clapping along like a monkey chained to Trump's organ grinder.

Pathetic.
