Tree Removal Pt. 2

About mid morning the tree removal guys showed up again next door and fired up their equipment which had been sitting in the backyard since Tuesday afternoon.  They went right back to work. This time they began to take down several large sections of the main trunk and stacked the logs beside the house.

It was fascinating watching them work on removing this main pieces of trunk which were the money making logs that the Amish were paying for. These final pieces of wood were why they were here doing this job and they had to carefully handle these logs.

At one point the main trunk was all that was left and while the crane machine held the trunk one of the guys sawed through the tree at the stump level. Then the crane lifted the trunk away and put it on the ground. Eventually they got the main trunk and several smaller ones on to the trailer which was then pulled out of the backyard by a truck. I took some pictures from our living room window. It was quite the process.

Then they cleaned up the area very well and checked with me to inspect our house and to make sure there was no damage anywhere. They were very good taking care of everything. I commented to them about their professionalism and courtesy. They did a great job.
