Three Hours in Paris

Three Hours in Paris by Cara Black, 2020

I read this book in April 2021. This is an interesting reimagining of history as to why Hitler spent only three hours in Paris in June of 1940 and never to return. The author's speculation makes for a very interesting story that develops into a fascinating spy thriller where an American markswoman drops into Paris for a dangerous assignment to assassinate Hitler.

The grief stricken American woman living in Scotland  has seen her husband and infant child killed during a Luftwaffe bombing and is recruited by British intelligence because of her sharpshooting skills to go to Paris to as a sniper on a mission but with no experience as a spy and little training.

This was a very well written historical thriller and very entertaining. I especially liked her descriptions and revelations of Paris during the German occupation. I read this a few days.
