Personally I would have rather that they put it off for a slightly longer period and let an independent commission spend some time investigating all aspects of the insurrection before airing the charges to the public although I do understand the efforts to make this a quick process.
However, that being said, the House Managers certainly put on a very effective opening argument. They were well prepared and their presentation was compelling.
The trump defense team was totally inept and bungling throughout the afternoon. The first one was especially ill prepared. It's going to be a long week.
The Senate barely passed a vote declaring the impeachment trial constitutional which of means there is probably no chance that the Senate will vote guilty by a two thirds majority to convict.
