Ain't Nothin' But A House Party. Another Final Version mix. This one is special and one of the oldest mixes in my collection. It really does go back to 1968 but at that time most of the songs on this mix were 45's stacked on a record player. Later I made cassette tape mixes of this selection of songs and then burned CDs. Now it's on a flash drive along with the iTunes playlist. This latest and final version of the mix is an hour and a half collection of songs in my collection from back in 1968 that I spun on our record player in our basement rec room in our house on Greene Street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia back in 1968. There was lots of dancing goin on. This mix is mostly soul music along with a few soulful rock songs. There is also another companion mix that I'll post later that was British Invasion and garage rock songs of the time.
In my Final Version collections I added this mix to the Happy Hour group.
