I was very sad to see several postings this evening on social media concerning the death of Tom Verlaine at the age of 73. I always loved his albums with Television and his later solo albums. I immediately had to go upstairs and put one of his albums on the turntable while reading about his life and career on my tablet. There were lots of stories in the NY Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, etc. It's amazing that the original lineup of Television included Tom Verlaine, Richard Lloyd and Richard Hell.
