Congress Chaos

Today was supposed to be a very important symbolic political ritual where the new republican majority were to formally take over the leadership of Congress by electing a new Speaker of the House and perform the ceremony of swearing in to office the new members in that order. The vote for the new Speaker was to take place at noon today and it did but the presumed new speaker could not muster up enough votes in his own party. Kevin McCarthy proved himself to be a failed leader and a loser.

Three times today congress voted and three times McCarthy could not win the election of his peers, his party. This is the first time this has happened in a hundred years. The Republican Party and the jerk trying to become the speaker just looked pathetic but it was kind of funny watching the house clerk keep reading the votes and knowing that there was going to be another failed attempt to win the election. I guess we'll see more tomorrow.
