Edinburgh Day Three - Dinner & Pubs

After lunch we walked back to the hotel for some rest. During this entire trip we really enjoyed stopping back at the hotel for a nap or rest period each afternoon before going out for dinner. This was day eleven.

We decided to try that French restaurant La Garrigue again because I had read some really good things about it. We walked over there and this time there were several tables with people sitting enjoying their meals. We took a table too and we had a wonderful French dinner.

We had a bottle of French wine and some amuse bouche and soup. I had Cassoulet Languedosian which was a casserole of duck and sausage, pork belly and beans. It was delicious. Becky had guinea hen with a mushroom sauce. We both had some heavenly potatoes and some salad too. Everything was wonderful. The staff was especially nice.

On the way back to the hotel after our leisurely dinner we stopped at the World's End Pub. There was live music on a small stage which was really a corner of the pub. We both had a couple of Innis & Gunn Lagers. Then we called it a day and headed back to the hotel for a good night's sleep.
