Read this during a week in September 2021.
I was actually very disappointed with this book. I had heard good things but it just didn't engage me. It was well written but the structure and process of telling the story put me off. It was a very short book but I still found myself skipping over some sections and then there were other parts that totally absorbed me for short periods. It read like diary entries but they were all over the place and the story really was a sad drift into despair, fear and a disturbing doomsday sadness.
I like my novels, especially apocalyptic ones, to have a little more meat on them.
