The Media Bias Chart

The Media Bias Chart version 8.0 was recently released. The chart is published by Ad Fontes Media which is a media watchdog organization founded in 2012 and based in Colorado. They use a panel of analysts across the political spectrum to evaluate and rate media sources based on political bias and reliability.

This is the first time TV, web and podcast sources have appeared on the same chart. Over a thousand sources are evaluated on the online interactive Media Bias Chart located on the Ad Fontes Media website.

No one person is making the evaluations. There are a lot of people evaluating a lot of articles from a lot of sources to come up with this chart.

It certainly illustrates that one needs to get information from a variety of sources with different perspectives but understanding the potential bias of their sources.
