COVID-19 Self Test

Today Becky and I each took a COVID-19 rapid self test in preparation for attending Lizzie's wedding in Cleveland this weekend. The results were negative as expected. We will take a second test tomorrow morning before driving to Cleveland.

The test was fast and simple. We had the results in 15 minutes. It seems a travesty and the height of incompetence that the trump administration didn't make this happen a year and a half ago. Of course we now know in hindsight that the previous administration wanted to hide the number of Americans infected by the virus and continuously downplayed the severity of the pandemic. Things would have been so much different had the government focused on testing early on instead of covering up the extent of the infections throughout America for political purposes.

The test we used was not approved by the FDA but has been authorized by them. I wonder how many q-magas will refuse to take the test because of their political beliefs and it's not FDA approved. I wonder what they think about that no tattoo ink has ever been approved by the FDA for injection into the skin of a human body.

Well, now we can feel a little better about going to this wedding and not infecting anyone. Hopefully we will have the same test results after the wedding weekend.
