Readings 2018 - Nonfiction

Nonfiction books read in 2018. I read 85 books on my second full year of retirement and 43 books were nonfiction and biographies. That's over half. I read memoir/biographies of Sarah Vaughn, Brian Wilson, Lou Reed, Otis Redding, Muhammad Ali, Gertrude Bell, Carrie Brownstein, Leonard Cohen and Mitch Landrieu. I read several books on London and Paris where we traveled this year. There were 18 books on Trump and the effects of his politics and policies on our country and four books on Vietnam and its effects on our country. The book I really loved was the Silk Roads: A New History of the World. I've always been fascinated with the concept of the silk road in history and especially that part of the world. Overall a good year for reading.
