Portraits - Emmylou Harris. Another favorite artist and a wonderful 3 CD box set collection of her commercial hits, an assortment of live songs, collaborations with other artist and some prime examples of every phase of her career up to the time of the albums release in 1996. This box sets runs for almost four hours of great music. I always loved her interpretations of country rock music.
I first heard her music when she was part of Gram Parsons band The Fallen Angels and her singing on his albums GP, 1973 and Grievous Angel, 1974.
I have a few Emmylou Harris albums in my collection including three multidisc box sets but not enough. She has so many more that I'm missing with huge gaps over the years.
