Read this in August 2014.
Looking back now one can see that having good geography cannot help a nation with a moron in charge.
This was a thought provoking examination of geopolitics through the lens of geography. The author examines critical pivot points in history based on geography and applies the lessons learned to the current evolving political scene.
This is also one of the many books I've read about maps. I've always had a fascination with maps and books about maps.
