Robin's Nest

Another Robin's nest as usual this time of the year. However, this is the first time in this particular location on Mark's porch next door. They have tried to make nests in several other areas of his porch and he uses some metal screen to keep them away. This location is right next to our walkway to the side door and across from our porch. If the robin's had nested there and the eggs hatched then they would be dive bombing us every time we walk past the nest to protect their chicks. Mark and Jody were out of town when the nest building began so I used a pole to remove it right away but of course the robins kept coming back. I removed the nest twice on that first day. The picture here is the third nest in that spot which the robins built even after Mark put up the metal screen. The actually used that screen to support the nest. A little while after I took this photo Mark went back up there and removed the nest again.

It's been a few years since any robin tried to build a nest on our porch but it has happened.
