Ian Fleming - #9

Next on my list of books read by an author is Ian Fleming. I read 13 of his James Bond novels. He wrote these books between 1953 and 1965. I started reading them when I was a teenager in 1964. The first book I read was From Russia With Love. I remember buying that paperback book off of a display rack in a drug store down the street from our house. I read about five James Bond novels over the next few years before joining the Navy. Then I read them over again and a bunch more during the next several years both on bases and at sea.

I went and saw all of the James Bond movies with Sean Connery at our neighborhood theater in the 60's as they were released. Then the Roger Moore movies in the 70's and into the mid 80's.
