Snowy January Day

Today we woke up to a very snowy January day. Overall most of the winter so far has not been too bad with a few snow days that had 1 to 3 inches of accumulations. Not much more than that... until today. We had about an inch or so over night but it kept snowing off and on all day. It was cold too.

When the snow stopped or slowed down I went out and did some shoveling. It turned out I did it three times today. The last was in the dark about 6 pm. The temperature at that time was 9 degrees and I could really feel that cold in my fingers after cleaning off the car. I didn't clear off the car at all earlier in the day and it turned out to be about 5 inches piled on the car.

It stopped snowing around 8 pm for the night and I'll need to go out there in the morning to clear everything off one more time. That is until tomorrow afternoon when it will start snowing again and continue all night. It will be snowing off and on tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. It's a lot of snow time but the weather reports keep saying 1 to 3 inches each day.  We'll see.
