We toured around Paris after our visit to Notre Dame and the surrounding neighborhood. We toured the area of the Eiffel Tower and then went down the Champs-Elysees to visit the Louvre Museum where the tour ended. We could spend as much time there as we want... which was a lot.
The Louvre was spectacular to see that least. We could have spent all day and all of the next few days exploring what is the world's most visited museum and an historic landmark of Paris. We had a brief tour of the museum
highlights that was part of our morning Monogram tour. The tour included Greek sculptures, the Venus de Milo, Winged Victory, Veronse Last Supper, David's The Coronation of Napoleon, Gericault's The Raft of Medusa and of course the Mona Lisa. And so many more greats. Goyas, Rembrandts, Titian, Ingres, etc., etc. There were also so many others we just couldn't get to see. Becky was in heaven.Later back at the hotel we were describing out museum experience, which was mostly good except for the directions and maps, to the Monogram tour rep who was very nice and informative. She laughed about the maps and said that they were known for not being very good. Overall she was very helpful, knowledgeable and very pleasant. She told us about her time living in New York as a student and her trip to Buffalo. A very nice girl.
