Paris Day Three - The Left Bank and Cafe Le Petit Pontoise

After spending the morning at the Pompidou Center we walked across the Seine over the Pont d' Arcole Bridge on to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. We walked around Notre Dame again. There was no mass going on this time and we were able to mover around the church and look at the stained glass windows. We then walked around the neighborhood around the church for awhile before crossing the Pont de 'L Archeveche Bridge and entered the Left Bank.

We were hungry and made our way to the Cafe Le Petit Pontoise where we had a wonderful lunch of baguette sandwiches. I had a nice pint of Biere Speciale Remes, a Belgium Blonde Ale from Brassiere d'Orgemont.

We walked around the Left Bank for a bit and got sort of lost but eventually found our way back to the Seine. One of the things we found distracting about walking around Paris was that the street names kept changing even though it seemed like we were walking down the same street. When you look on a map you see the names constantly changing. Fortunately I had downloaded a Google
map of the area to my phone that also contained many places marked including our hotel. We had internet and phone connection but it was not always dependable.

So we were able to get back to our hotel ok and took a little late afternoon nap before we would be heading back out for dinner.
