The Place for Dinner

It's been a while since we've had dinner at The Place. Earlier today we decided to go out for dinner tonight and it was just a matter of where to go. We thought about going to Cucina over at the Richardson Complex but we wanted something a little lighter than an Italian dinner. We headed over to Lexington Ave and The Place.

It was crowded over there on an early Thursday evening with three good restaurants right on that corner but we found a parking spot nearby. The restaurant and bar was crowded for 5:45 pm and we got a table for two in the dinning room.

We started off with a couple of beers. I had a Sullivan's Irish Red Ale on tap and Becky had an Allagash White draft. I ordered a Beef on Weck with the roasted sliced potatoes, peppers and onions. Becky had the Chicken Milanese. The food was wonderful and the service was great.

The place filled up but was not too loud or overly crowded. It was a happening place. I had a second beer... a 42 North Craftsman Lager.  I had some significant leftovers with that large meat and potatoes dinner.
