Eggs from the Neighbor's Hens

Today our neighbor Dan came by the house while I was sitting on the porch reading. He gave me a container of eggs from the hen's in his backyard. They got a few chickens last summer to raise for their eggs. They also have a rabbit in the yard. Their little boy Andrew took Becky by the hand last summer and brought her into the backyard to see the chickens. I came along too and Dan gave us a tour of the hen house and rabbit hutch.

So over the past year we could sometimes hear the chickens from our yard and we can also see them pecking around in their backyard. 

We are very happy to have some of the eggs and we're looking forward to trying them out for some meals. It's amazing to see the different colors of the eggs. The hens are different colors too.
